Poet Kirk Judd will read from West Virginia poet Joseph Barrett's posthumous collection Blue Planet Memoirs as well as from his own collection My People Was Music. Judd is a founding member of West Virginia Writers and a founding member of and creative writing instructor for Allegheny Echoes dedicated to the support and preservation of WV cultural heritage arts.

Poet Rob Merritt will read from his newly published collection View From Blue-Jade Mountain. Merritt is Professor and Chair of the English Department at Bluefield College. He has taught poetry at the Jiangsu Second Normal University in Nanjing, China, and brings to his writing about the Appalachian Mountains a sense of geographical context demonstrated in the work of the Chinese “Rivers and Mountains” poets.
