Virginia Evans is the author of The Correspondent, a debut novel told through letters written by and to its elderly protagonist, a lifelong and compulsive letter writer. A New York Times #1 bestseller and book club favorite, The Correspondent has sold more than 1.5 million copies since its release just a few months ago.

Evans earned her bachelor’s degree in English literature from James Madison University. After starting a family, she returned to school to pursue a master’s in philosophy in creative writing at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. Evans lives with her family in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She now lives in Winston-Salem with her husband, Mark, their children, Jack and Mae, and their Red Labrador, Brigid.

She will appear in conversation with Shaye Schleiff.
